Dubai is an international example when it comes to its architectural marvels. The Dubai skyline features some of the most stylish designs that are not seen elsewhere in the world. Other than the obvious choices such as the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Mall, and the Palm Jumeirah, this city features many upcoming monuments, structures and attractions that will truly be awe-inspiring.
Ain Dubai – The Dubai Eye
Dubai is no stranger to breaking world records, and it will break yet another record with the largest observation Ferris wheel in the world, The Ain Dubai. Also known as The Dubai Eye, this observation wheel will be located in Bluewaters Island, a waterfront project developed by Meraas Holding. With a height of 210 m, the Ain Dubai is larger than the London Eye by at least 75 m and will have a rotation time of 48 minutes. Expect to see gorgeous views of the entire city from Ain Dubai.
The Opus by Omniyat
The concept of the Opus by Omniyat is by the legendary, Dame Zaha Hadid. Located in the Burj Khalifa district, this gorgeous development's most unique factor is its square shape and the large gap that will be present right in the centre of this building. This incredibly aesthetic project will feature residential units and hotel services led by well-known hoteliers, Melia Hotels International. This mid-rise luxury property will be launched in early 2018.
Museum of the Future
Envisioned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Museum Of The Future will be located on Sheikh Zayed Road. “See the future, create the future” is the motto of this one-of-a-kind institution, which will not only feature technologically advanced inventions but will also act as an incubator for inventors, entrepreneurs and innovators. Much like its theme, the building design of the Museum Of The Future is modern, futuristic, and will soon become one of the city’s biggest tourist destinations.
The Dubai Frame
The Dubai Frame is a unique project created by the renowned architect, Fernando Donis, and it is developed by Emaar Properties. Located in Zabeel Park, this structure will cost around AED 160 million and will be approximately 150 m in height. The Dubai Frame is situated in such a way that it perfectly captures the landmark sceneries and sights of Dubai in a larger-than-life picture frame. After facing several delays, the Dubai Frame is finally set to be launched in late 2017.
Meraas Holding is bringing another grand spectacle to Dubai in the form of the biggest indoor stadium, Dubai Arena. A multi-purpose, air-conditioned venue that will host some of the biggest global musical acts, performances, and even large scale sporting events and tournaments. This AED 3 billion project will have a capacity of around 20,000 people, and it is stretched across 50,000 sq. ft. Located right behind City Walk, the Dubai Arena will be managed by the Anschutz Entertainment Group and will be ready by the year 2018.
